Almost caught up!

Saturday, September 15th
Interns have off on Saturday and Sunday. You can still go into Best Friends to volunteer, if you so choose, or take an animal on an outing. This particular Saturday, I went with 3 of my fellow interns to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. It was really, really incredible. And also very tiring; sand is very hard to walk in. Here are some pictures from the day (the sand was much pinker in person).

All in all, it was a pretty great day of sand, sun, and getting to know Jill, Meghan, and Japhy.

Sunday, September 16th
Later today I'm going to go to Best Friends to take Sharkey on an outing. I think I'd like to talk to his caregiver first to see where she recommends taking him and what he all needs work on. I'm pretty exciting to get started! After that, I've volunteered with the Colorado City cats, so we'll see how my first shift doing that goes.

Side note-

I'd like to congratulate my childhood best friend, Brittany, on giving birth to her second beautiful daughter, Allison, on Friday. Both girls look just like Brittany when she was younger it's insane!
